Oxlos
_The name ‘Oxlos’ (pronounced ‘og-los’) was suggested by one of our very
own members. It is a Greek word with the meaning "jubilating masses".
Oxlos was founded in 1995 when a need emerged for a marketing campaign aimed at schools in the Stellenbosch area.
Due to the nature of the audience the church board decided that a dance group was best suited for the purpose of the campaign.
After running two successful marketing campaigns, it was decided that the dance group would be incorporated into the CRUX ministry. see Crux
Oxlos is now leaps and bounds from where it was when the group was founded. Not only has drama also been incorporated as a large part of the annual production, but the range of dance style has dramatically increased over the years and the emphasis on bringing real and relevant messages has become a primary focus.
